Bronx Teen Charged with Murder in Fatal Shooting of Peer

17-year-old Tyrell Williams was arrested and charged with the murder of Laquai Dash, also 17, in the Bronx.
The fatal shooting occurred after a dispute involving the victims' girlfriends, with Dash being shot in the back and neck as he fled.
Dash was a student at Legacy College Prep Charter High School and had aspirations of attending SUNY Buffalo.
This marks the second arrest for Williams, who was previously arrested in 2022 for criminal possession of a weapon.
Dash's death is the first fatal shooting in the 40th precinct of the South Bronx this year.
