Brooklyn Woman Arrested for Assaulting Subway Cellist with Water Bottle

The attack in a Manhattan subway station has led the performer to indefinitely suspend his subway concerts due to safety concerns.

Amira Hunter, 23, from Brooklyn, was arrested for assaulting cellist Iain S. Forrest with a metal water bottle in a NYC subway station.
The attack, which occurred on February 13, forced Forrest to halt his subway performances indefinitely due to safety concerns.
Forrest, a medical student and part of the MTA’s Music Under New York program, was playing 'Titanium' by Sia when attacked.
Hunter has a history of prior arrests, including for assault and theft, and was last arrested in October for shoplifting.
Forrest has resumed playing his cello at home, encouraged by support and gifts from a music company.
