Christian Benford, a sixth-round pick in 2022, has signed a four-year, $76 million extension with the Buffalo Bills, making him one of the top 15 highest-paid cornerbacks in the NFL.
The 24-year-old cornerback earned the extension after a breakout 2024 season, where he ranked fifth among cornerbacks with an 82.6 PFF grade and led the team in passes defensed.
Benford is the third member of the Bills' 2022 draft class to receive an extension this offseason, joining Khalil Shakir and Terrel Bernard.
The Bills have also extended key players like Josh Allen and Gregory Rousseau as part of their broader strategy to maintain roster stability and pursue a Super Bowl title.
Despite Benford's extension, the team still lacks a clear starter at the cornerback position opposite him, with the upcoming NFL Draft presenting an opportunity to address this gap.
