C8 and NRJ12 End Broadcasts Following Regulatory Decision

The two French TV channels will cease operations at midnight after their TNT licenses were not renewed by Arcom.

  • C8 and NRJ12 will stop broadcasting on February 28, 2025, at midnight after failing to secure renewed TNT licenses from Arcom.
  • The Council of State finalized the decision on February 19, 2025, upholding Arcom's earlier ruling.
  • C8's final programming includes reruns of popular shows and a prime-time best-of special, while NRJ12 features nostalgic programming and a farewell event hosted by Ayem Nour.
  • From March 1 to June 5, placeholders on channels 8 and 12 will display information about upcoming TNT changes, with new channels LCP/Public Sénat and Gulli taking over these slots in June.
  • New entrants T18 (CMI France) and OFTV (Ouest-France) will join the TNT lineup in June and September, respectively, occupying channels 18 and 19.
