Calgary Police Investigate Fatal Assault of 23-Year-Old Woman on Nose Creek Pathway

Jelisa Maschki succumbed to her injuries after being found in critical condition; police seek public assistance in identifying suspects.

Jelisa Maschki, 23, was discovered in medical distress on the Nose Creek Pathway in northeast Calgary around 4 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024.
Police believe Maschki was the victim of a serious assault based on the nature of her injuries; she later died in the hospital after being on life support.
The Calgary Police Homicide Unit is leading the investigation and has released a CCTV image of Maschki from the day before the assault to gather information on her movements.
Authorities are appealing to the public for any information about Maschki’s activities on Sunday, December 8, or suspicious activity in the area on Monday morning.
An autopsy scheduled for Thursday is expected to provide further details about the injuries and cause of death.
