California Bans Four Food Additives Linked to Cancer and Other Diseases

California has banned four food additives associated with diseases like cancer, starting in 2027.
The banned additives are red dye 3, yellow dye 6, brominated vegetable oil, and potassium bromate.
Popular products containing the additives include candy corn, marshmallows, and bread.
The additives are already restricted in other places but this will completely ban them in California.
Some companies have started voluntarily removing the additives ahead of the 2027 deadline.
