California Veterinarian Provides Free Care to Homeless Pets

Dr. Kwane Stewart has committed nearly a decade to helping homeless people in California care for their pets.
California has one third of the nation's homeless population, and 10% of homeless people own pets.
Stewart founded and funds Project Street Vet, a nonprofit that provides free veterinary care to homeless pets.
Stewart treats every person and pet with the same care he would give his veterinary clinic patients.
Stewart's goal is to help as many homeless pet owners as possible while showing them compassion.
