Real Madrid's manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has extended his contract with the club until June 2026, ending speculation about him taking over as Brazil's national coach.
Ancelotti, who has been with Real Madrid since 2021, has led the team to 10 major trophies, including two Champions League titles.
The 64-year-old is the only coach to have won four Champions League titles and the only manager to have won a domestic league title in all five of Europe’s major leagues.
Real Madrid currently leads La Liga and has reached the last 32 of the Copa del Rey.
The contract extension includes the possibility that Ancelotti could stay on at the club in another capacity even if the club opts to move away from him as the coach of the team.
