CBS Announces Cast for First Black-Led Daytime Soap 'Beyond the Gates'

Tamara Tunie, Daphnee Duplaix, and Karla Mosley will star in the new drama premiering early 2025.

‘Beyond the Gates’ is set in an affluent Maryland suburb and centers around the prestigious Dupree family.
Tamara Tunie will play Anita Dupree, the family matriarch and a former famous singer.
Daphnee Duplaix is cast as Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson, a high-achieving psychiatrist and philanthropist.
Karla Mosley will portray Dani Dupree, Anita’s free-spirited daughter who gave up modeling to become a momager.
The series is the first one-hour Black daytime drama and will begin production this fall in Atlanta.
