CBSE to Offer Special Exam for Class 12 Hindi Students Affected by Holi Celebrations

Students unable to attend the scheduled March 15 exam due to Holi will have the chance to take a special exam later, CBSE announces.

  • The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has scheduled the Class 12 Hindi Core and Elective exam for March 15, 2025.
  • Due to Holi celebrations occurring on March 14 and in some regions extending to March 15, CBSE will hold a special exam for affected students.
  • The special exam will be conducted after the regular exams conclude, following CBSE's policy for students who miss exams due to national or international sports events.
  • Over 44 lakh students are currently taking CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams, which began on February 15 and will continue until April 4 for Class 12.
  • CBSE has implemented strict guidelines for exam integrity, including dress codes and prohibitions on electronic devices and unauthorized materials in exam halls.
