Charizard-Shaped Cheeto Sells for $88,000 at Auction

The three-inch Flamin’ Hot Cheeto, dubbed 'Cheetozard,' was preserved for years and gained viral fame before being sold by Goldin Auctions.

The 'Cheetozard,' a Flamin’ Hot Cheeto resembling Pokémon's Charizard, sold for $87,840 at an online auction hosted by Goldin Auctions.
The bidding began in February at $250 and concluded on March 2 with 60 bids, including a $72,000 winning bid plus buyer's premium.
The Cheeto, measuring three inches, was preserved in a clear storage box and accompanied by a custom Pokémon card.
Initially discovered between 2018 and 2022 by 1st & Goal Collectibles, the snack gained widespread attention on social media in late 2024.
The sale drew mixed reactions online, with some praising its uniqueness and others criticizing the high price for a snack-shaped collectible.
