Chicago Bears Sign Pro Bowl DT Grady Jarrett to $43.5M Deal

The veteran defensive tackle joins the Bears hours after being released by the Falcons in a cap-saving move.

Grady Jarrett signed a three-year, $43.5 million contract with the Chicago Bears shortly after being released by the Atlanta Falcons to save $16.25 million in cap space.
Jarrett, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, spent 10 seasons with the Falcons, where he recorded 36.5 sacks and 496 tackles in 152 games.
The 31-year-old defensive tackle played all 17 games in 2024 after recovering from a torn ACL sustained in 2023, contributing 53 tackles and 2.5 sacks last season.
The Bears have been active in free agency, also signing edge rusher Dayo Odeyingbo and center Drew Dalman, as part of an effort to strengthen their roster around QB Caleb Williams.
Jarrett's addition brings veteran leadership and interior pass-rushing ability to a Chicago defense aiming to improve its performance in the competitive NFC North.
