Chicago Family Murder Suspect Had Relationship with Victim, Girlfriend Allegedly Involved
Police reveal new evidence pointing to Ermalinda Palomo's involvement in the planning and execution of the crime.
- Police investigators have determined that Zoraida Bartolomei, one of the four victims in the September shooting deaths of a suburban Chicago family, was in a relationship with the suspect, Nathaniel Huey Jr.
- Evidence indicates that Ermalinda Palomo, Huey's girlfriend, had prior knowledge of Huey's intent to commit the murders, was involved in the planning, and drove the vehicle to the crime scene.
- Digital evidence shows that the vehicle traveled from Huey and Palomo’s home in Streamwood, Illinois, to the victims’ home in Romeoville, about 35 miles away, and then back to Streamwood at the time the murders took place.
- Days after the murders, Huey and Palomo died in a car crash in Oklahoma.
- The Romeoville family’s death marked the 35th mass killing in the U.S. this year, with a total of 42 mass killings in the U.S. since then, resulting in at least 217 deaths.
