Chicago Man Charged in Shooting of 11-Year-Old Following Traffic Incident

  • Jeston Harris, 27, turned himself in to Chicago police on December 22 and was subsequently arrested for his involvement in a shooting on December 13.
  • The incident occurred in Wicker Park after a minor traffic collision, during which Harris allegedly fired shots at a vehicle carrying an 11-year-old boy.
  • The boy, a passenger in the vehicle, was struck in the hand and transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was reported to be in good condition.
  • Harris faces one felony count of aggravated battery with a firearm and four felony counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.
  • The shooting reportedly stemmed from a road rage incident, and Harris is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, December 24.
