Chicago Police Officer Fires at Fleeing Vehicle After Traffic Stop

A person of interest is in custody following a police shooting incident in Old Town, with no reported injuries.

Officers attempted a traffic stop in the 300 block of West Division Street after receiving a call about a person with a gun.
The vehicle occupants attempted to flee, crashing into a police car, prompting an officer to fire at the vehicle.
The vehicle was later found on West North Avenue, and a person of interest was taken into custody.
No injuries were reported, although one officer was hospitalized for observation.
The Civilian Office of Police Accountability is investigating, and involved officers are on a 30-day administrative leave.
