Overview

• The Chicago Blues Festival runs June 5–8 at Millennium Park and Ramova Theatre with free performances by Mavis Staples, Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram and a B.B. King centennial tribute.
• Ribfest Chicago opened June 6 along Lincoln Avenue featuring more than 20 barbecue vendors, live music stages and children’s activities through June 8.
• The 57th Street Art Fair and Gold Coast Art Fair begin June 7 in Hyde Park and Grant Park, respectively, together presenting nearly 400 artists working in painting, sculpture, jewelry and mixed media.
• Beyond Wonderland debuts June 7–8 at the Huntington Bank Pavilion on Northerly Island with a diverse lineup of electronic dance music acts.
• The Grant Park Music Festival will launch its summer season on June 11 at Pritzker Pavilion with a free performance of Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” alongside works by Gabriela Lena Frank and Manuel de Falla.
