Chris Stewart to Replace Eli Gold as Alabama Football Radio Announcer

After 35 years as the voice of Alabama football, Eli Gold will be replaced by Chris Stewart starting with the spring football game.

Eli Gold has called seven national championship games, 11 Southeastern Conference championships, and 35 bowl games during his tenure.
Chris Stewart, a member of the Crimson Tide Sports Network since 1998, will take over the role.
Gold, who is not retiring, stated the decision was not health-related and expressed that he is 'healthy as a horse'.
Gold filled in for home games and the Auburn game last season after battling cancer in 2022.
Gold was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 2014.
