Composer Lena Raine Releases Soundtrack for Cancelled Game Earthblade

The Celeste and Minecraft composer compiled music from the scrapped Extremely OK Games project into a concept album available on Bandcamp.

Earthblade, a planned 2D exploration-action game by Extremely OK Games, was cancelled in January 2025 due to creative and development challenges.
Lena Raine, known for her work on Celeste and Minecraft, created a nine-track concept album from the music she composed for the game before its cancellation.
The album, titled 'Earthblade: Across the Bounds of Fate,' is arranged to reflect an emotional arc, inspired by older animation and film scores like Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and Cowboy Bebop.
Half of the proceeds from the album, available for $7 on Bandcamp, will go to the Trans Lifeline charity.
Extremely OK Games cited internal pressures and a desire to focus on smaller-scale projects as reasons for Earthblade's cancellation.
