Deadline Approaches for Walmart's $45 Million Weighted-Grocery Settlement

Walmart customers must submit claims by June 5 to be eligible for compensation over alleged overcharging on weighted groceries.

The class-action lawsuit alleges Walmart inflated product weights and mislabeled bagged produce.
Customers who purchased eligible items between Oct. 19, 2018, and Jan. 19, 2024, can join the settlement.
Claims can be submitted with or without receipts, with potential payouts ranging from $10 to $500.
The deadline for opting out of the settlement has already passed as of May 22.
A final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for June 12.
