'Dear Viv' Documentary to Celebrate Life of Drag Icon The Vivienne

The film, produced by World of Wonder, will honor James Lee Williams' legacy through archival footage, interviews, and fan tributes.

The Vivienne, born James Lee Williams, was the first winner of 'RuPaul's Drag Race UK' and passed away in January 2025 at the age of 32.
World of Wonder, the production company behind 'RuPaul's Drag Race,' is creating 'Dear Viv' with the support of Williams' family and friends.
The documentary will feature archival footage, personal letters from fans, and interviews with loved ones and fellow drag performers, including Baga Chipz, Michael Marouli, and Danny Beard.
'Dear Viv' will trace The Vivienne's journey from growing up in North Wales to achieving fame in the drag and entertainment world, including roles in theater and television.
The film is set to premiere later in 2025 on the streaming platform WOW Presents Plus.
