Decathlon to Open Stores Within Galeria Locations in Strategic Retail Partnership

Decathlon and Galeria have formalized a partnership to integrate Decathlon stores within Galeria locations, aiming to revitalize retail spaces and expand market presence.
The first Decathlon store within a Galeria location is set to open in Konstanz in August 2025, with additional openings planned for Duisburg, Freiburg, Trier, and Kassel by the end of the year.
Galeria, currently operating 83 locations, is undergoing a restructuring process following its 2023 insolvency and 2024 court-approved restart under new ownership by NRDC and Bernd Beetz.
Decathlon's store sizes within Galeria locations will range between 1,500 and 3,500 square meters, complementing Galeria's existing sports product offerings.
This partnership aligns with Decathlon's plan to open over 60 new stores in Germany by 2027 and Galeria's strategy to enhance its offerings through collaborations, including a prior partnership with Lidl.
