Dejounte Murray Trade Talks Heat Up as NBA Deadline Approaches

Lakers, Spurs, and Raptors among teams interested in the Hawks guard, but Atlanta seeks significant value in return.

The Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, and Toronto Raptors are among the teams reportedly interested in trading for Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray.
Murray, who is averaging 21.1 points, five assists, and 4.6 rebounds this season, was initially a member of the Spurs before being traded to Atlanta in June 2022.
The Hawks, who have a disappointing 15-21 start to the season, are expected to engage in trade talks before the Feb. 8 deadline.
Murray's four-year, $120 million extension is set to begin at the start of the 2024-25 season.
Despite the interest, the Hawks are looking to recoup significant value in the trade, and it remains to be seen if the interested teams have enough attractive assets to entice Atlanta.
