Overview

• The Delhi Government, in partnership with TERI, has launched an eco-sensitisation campaign targeting two lakh students across schools and colleges in Delhi-NCR.
• The programme, funded with Rs 40 lakh, aims to create a network of ‘eco-warriors’ to promote biodiversity conservation and climate action.
• A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Department of Environment, Government of NCT of Delhi, and TERI to implement the initiative.
• Key features include interactive learning, eco-actions, and the training of 80 'Paryavaran Sanrakshaks' who will mentor peers and expand the campaign's impact.
• This campaign aligns with Delhi’s broader strategy to combat pollution and climate challenges through participatory and youth-driven environmental governance.
