Delhi Police FIR Against Arvind Kejriwal Over 2019 Hoardings Case

Court-mandated FIR accuses Kejriwal and others of public fund misuse and property defacement; investigation continues under judicial scrutiny.

The Delhi Police has filed an FIR against former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, ex-MLA Gulab Chand, and BJP councillor Nitika Sharma for alleged misuse of public funds and defacement of public property in 2019.
The FIR, lodged under Section 3 of the Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 2007, follows a directive from the Rouse Avenue Court on March 11, 2025.
The court criticized the Delhi Police for delays in filing the FIR and ordered a thorough investigation into the origin and placement of the hoardings.
The complaint, filed by Shiv Kumar Saxena, alleged that unauthorized hoardings featuring AAP and BJP leaders were illegally erected in Dwarka, posing traffic hazards and defacing public property.
The next hearing is scheduled for April 18, 2025, with political and legal scrutiny intensifying around the case.
