Deltarune to Be Released for Purchase after Chapter 4 Completion, Toby Fox Announces

With Chapter 3 near completion, Fox plans to release Deltarune after finalizing Chapter 4, instead of waiting for Chapter 5, and has hired a producer to expedite the game development of future chapters.

Toby Fox, developer of Deltarune, announced a change in release strategy. Instead of releasing chapters 3, 4, and 5 together, Fox plans to launch Deltarune for purchase upon completion of Chapter 4.
Chapter 3 is nearly complete, and the development team is mostly transitioning to work on Chapter 4. Fox is optimistic about the development of future chapters and feels confident about the progression.
To speed up the development for future chapters, Fox has hired a new producer. This producer’s entire role will be to facilitate faster game development.
Chapter 4 is already in advanced stages of development, with a substantial amount of cutscenes and enemy work done. This is expected to make the release of Deltarune more reasonable.
