Denmark's Men's Soccer Team Declines Pay Rise to Support Equal Conditions for Women

New agreement ensures equal pay and upgraded insurance coverage for both national teams through 2028

Male players accepted a 15% decrease in insurance coverage to boost women's coverage by 50%.
Both teams will receive the same basic remuneration for national team appearances.
A joint clubhouse and development fund will be created for all national teams.
The agreement follows previous initiatives by male players to support their female counterparts.
Negotiations for the women's team with the Danish Football Association will start this year instead of 2025.
