DeSantis-Appointed Board Abolishes Disney's Diversity and Inclusion Programs

Disney lost control of its special governing district in Florida after clashing with Gov. DeSantis over LGBTQ+ rights.
DeSantis created a new tourism oversight board to govern the district, appointing supporters to it.
The new board eliminated the district's diversity, equity and inclusion programs, calling them illegal and un-American.
DeSantis has targeted such programs, including signing a bill restricting diversity training in colleges.
The feud between DeSantis and Disney began when Disney criticized the "Don't Say Gay" education law DeSantis championed.
