Destiny 2 Announces Rite of the Nine Event Featuring Revamped Dungeons and Holofoil Weapons

The free event, launching during Heresy Act 3, will reintroduce classic dungeons with new challenges, weapon variants, and a returning social space.

Rite of the Nine is a limited-time event scheduled to launch during Heresy Act 3, running from April 1 to July 15, 2025.
The event will feature three rotating dungeons—Prophecy, Spire of the Watcher, and Ghosts of the Deep—each with revamped loot tables and new weapon perks.
Players can choose from three difficulty levels: Explorer for newcomers, Eternity for standard play, and Ultimatum for high-level challenges, with Adept weapons exclusive to Ultimatum mode.
Holofoil weapon variants, featuring unique animated skins, will be available alongside other rewards, echoing the popular Into the Light event.
The Third Spire social space from Year 1’s Trials of the Nine will return as the hub for event activities, including quests, bounties, and weapon attunements.
