Destiny 2's The Final Shape Expansion Delayed to June 2024

Bungie to Introduce New Features and Content to Fill Gap, with Gameplay Reveal Planned for April

  • Destiny 2's major expansion, The Final Shape, has been delayed from February 27, 2024, to June 4, 2024, due to the need for more development time.
  • To fill the gap left by the delay, Bungie will extend the current Season of the Wish and introduce new features and content, including weekly progression-based quests called Wishes and Moments of Triumph rewards.
  • The annual class-on-class PVP event, Guardian Games, will be moved to March, and a new update called Into the Light will be released in April.
  • Three new PVP maps will be introduced in May, leading up to the new launch date for The Final Shape.
  • Despite the delay, Bungie promises to reveal new gameplay from The Final Shape in April.
