Deviation Games, Partnered with PlayStation, Shuts Down

The studio, founded by Call of Duty veterans, closes before its first project for PS5 could be completed.

Deviation Games, established in 2021 by ex-Call of Duty developers, has officially closed its doors.
The studio had partnered with Sony to develop a new PlayStation exclusive IP, but the project will now never see the light of day.
Co-founder Jason Blundell left the company in 2022, followed by a round of layoffs in 2023.
Sony, facing its own financial challenges, has recently cut 900 jobs and canceled several projects.
Deviation Games plans to host a networking event to assist its former employees in finding new opportunities.
