Dirk Nowitzki Poised to Join Amazon as NBA Analyst

The retired basketball legend is reportedly in talks to become a TV expert for Amazon Prime Video’s NBA coverage starting next season.

Dirk Nowitzki, former Dallas Mavericks star and 2011 NBA champion, is reportedly set to become an NBA analyst for Amazon Prime Video.
The 46-year-old retired in 2019 after a 21-season career and has since taken on roles such as FIBA ambassador at major basketball events.
Amazon recently acquired significant NBA broadcasting rights, including coverage of the NBA Cup and select Conference Finals games from 2025-2036.
Reports suggest only final details remain to be resolved before Nowitzki's role is confirmed, though no official announcement has been made yet.
The NBA's new $76 billion broadcasting deal also involves Disney (ABC and ESPN) as the primary partner, alongside NBCUniversal and Amazon.
