Disgraced former Manhattan gynecologist sentenced to minimum 25 years for decades of sexual abuse

Robert Hadden, a former Manhattan gynecologist, sexually abused dozens of patients over nearly 25 years before his crimes were discovered.
In a sentencing hearing, 11 of Hadden's victims gave emotional testimony urging the judge to impose the maximum sentence.
Prosecutors are seeking at least 25 years in prison for Hadden, who was convicted of inducing patients to cross state lines for appointments that turned out to be occasions for sexual assault.
Hadden's abuse went undetected for over 20 years as he worked at prominent New York hospitals, leading to over $236 million in settlements from the institutions.
The judge is scheduled to announce Hadden's sentence on July 24, 2023.
