Dog Lost at Atlanta Airport Reunited with Owner Weeks Later After Extensive Search

A woman was separated from her chihuahua named Maia at the Atlanta airport after visa issues forced her to leave without the dog.
The dog escaped its crate and disappeared in the airport while the owner was on a layover flight on Delta Air Lines.
After several weeks of searching, an animal activist found Maia hiding under cargo racks near the airport's north facilities.
Maia was examined by a vet and found to be in good health despite being lost for over three weeks.
Delta is working to reunite the dog with its owner, who lives in the Dominican Republic.
