Dresden Man Charged with 24 Counts of Child Sexual Abuse

A 38-year-old, who posed as a teenager online, allegedly abused a 13-year-old girl over several months.

The accused met the victim through a social media platform, where he falsely claimed to be 18 years old.
Authorities arrested the man in late June during a vacation with the girl in the Saxon Switzerland region.
He faces charges of sexual abuse of a minor in 24 separate incidents between March and June.
The suspect, who has a prior criminal record, is currently in pre-trial detention and denies the allegations.
The Dresden District Court will decide on the commencement of the main trial, with no date set yet.
