Drunk Driver Sentenced to 25 Years for Killing Bride on Wedding Night

Jamie Lee Komoroski pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the 2023 crash that killed Samantha Miller and injured three others in South Carolina.

Samantha Miller, 34, was killed on her wedding night when Jamie Lee Komoroski, driving at 65 mph in a 25 mph zone, crashed into the golf cart carrying the newlyweds and two others.
Komoroski's blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit, and she admitted to drinking at multiple bars before the crash in Folly Beach, South Carolina.
The crash left Miller's husband, Aric Hutchinson, with severe injuries, including a brain injury and multiple broken bones, and killed Miller while she was still wearing her wedding dress.
During the sentencing, Komoroski expressed deep remorse and acknowledged her alcohol addiction, vowing to dedicate her life to raising awareness about drunk driving.
Miller's family and Hutchinson shared emotional victim impact statements in court, with Hutchinson recalling his wife's last words: 'She didn’t want the night to end.'
