DWTS Couple Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd Welcome Son Rio After Fertility Struggles

Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd met on Broadway in 2009 and later reunited on Dancing with the Stars in 2011, where they started dating.
They worked with fertility doctors for in vitro fertilization, but their first embryo transfer was unsuccessful.
They announced in January 2023 that they were expecting their second child naturally and later revealed it was a baby boy.
On Father's Day 2023, they welcomed their son Rio John who weighed 8 lbs., 6 oz.
The baby's middle name, John, is in honor of Chmerkovskiy's late father.
