Eagles Sign Adoree’ Jackson to Address Cornerback Depth

Philadelphia adds the veteran cornerback on a one-year deal following the release of Darius Slay earlier this week.

Adoree’ Jackson, a former first-round pick with 82 career starts, joins the Eagles after spending four seasons with the New York Giants.
The one-year deal provides Philadelphia with an experienced option to compete for the starting outside cornerback role vacated by Darius Slay.
Jackson, 29, brings versatility to the Eagles’ secondary, having played both boundary and slot cornerback positions in his career.
With standout young cornerbacks Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean already on the roster, Jackson is expected to compete with Kelee Ringo for playing time.
The Eagles continue to retool their defense after significant offseason departures, including Slay, Josh Sweat, and C.J. Gardner-Johnson.
