• Ed Gale died on May 27 in hospice care in Los Angeles at age 61, and his family has not disclosed a cause of death.
• He physically brought the killer doll Chucky to life in the original 1988 Child’s Play and reprised the role in two subsequent franchise installments.
• Gale made his on-screen debut in 1986 as one of the actors inside the Howard the Duck suit and went on to appear in over 130 films, television shows and commercials.
• Born with dwarfism in Plainwell, Michigan, he hitchhiked to Los Angeles at 20 with just $41 and built a devoted cult following at fan conventions.
