Ed Sheeran Launches Foundation to Support Music Education in UK Schools

The initiative seeks to fill gaps left by reduced arts funding, providing resources such as instruments, lessons, and support for grassroots music programs and school music departments.
The foundation has already supported 18 organizations, benefiting approximately 12,000 children, while advocating for the critical role of music teachers in shaping young lives.
To promote the launch, Sheeran is visiting schools and youth groups in Cardiff, Coventry, Edinburgh, and Belfast, performing and sharing his journey to inspire students to consider music as a legitimate career path.
Sheeran emphasized the broader impact of the music industry, noting its employment of over 216,000 people in the UK, and highlighted the mental health and developmental benefits of early music education.
