Edmonton Security Guard Killed in Apparent Homicide at Apartment Building

A 20-year-old security guard was found unresponsive in a stairwell of a central Edmonton apartment building around 12:30 a.m. Friday after reports of a gunshot.
The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, and his death is being investigated as a homicide.
The incident occurred at a building near 106th Street and 107th Avenue in Edmonton's Central McDougall neighbourhood.
Homicide detectives are leading the investigation, and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine further details.
