The entertainer is leaving the popular quiz show voluntarily to dedicate more time to his personal life and other commitments.
The show will continue with a new team captain, and several candidates, including Wigald Boning and Bastian Bielendorfer, are being considered.
Elton will remain active in television, continuing to host ZDF's '1, 2 oder 3,' which he has led since 2010, and other select projects like 'Eltons 12.'
This marks another shift in Elton's career, following his departure from ProSieben in 2024 and the end of 'Blamieren oder Kassieren.'
