Emma Aicher, a rising German alpine skiing talent, achieved her first World Cup podium by finishing second in Kvitfjell, Norway.
Aicher was narrowly beaten by Austria's Cornelia Hütter, with a margin of just 0.15 seconds, while Breezy Johnson of the USA claimed third place, 0.40 seconds behind the winner.
The result is a significant milestone for the 21-year-old, who had previously placed sixth at the World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm.
Aicher expressed surprise and joy at her performance, attributing her success to replicating her training runs during the race.
Kira Weidle-Winkelmann, another German skier, finished in the top ten, securing tenth place with a one-second gap to the winner.
