Erin Patterson Faces Court for Alleged Poisonous Mushroom Murders

Erin Patterson appeared in Australian court charged with the murder of three relatives and the attempted murder of her ex-husband and others using deadly mushrooms.

Erin Patterson, 49, is accused of poisoning her ex-husband’s parents and his aunt, resulting in three deaths.
Patterson made her second court appearance via video link from a Melbourne prison, facing charges of three counts of murder and five of attempted murder.
The victims were allegedly poisoned with death cap mushrooms during a family lunch at Patterson's home in July last year.
A committal hearing is scheduled for May 7 to determine if there is sufficient evidence for a trial.
Patterson has not yet entered any pleas and remains in custody without bail.
