Escaped Rikers Island prisoner captured in Queens after over a month at large

Yenchun Chen, a prisoner at Rikers Island, escaped custody in early December 2022.
Chen was being treated at a Manhattan hospital when he escaped.
The correction officers tasked with guarding Chen were suspended for 30 days without pay.
Authorities captured Chen in Queens on January 10th after an extensive manhunt.
Chen faces additional escape charges on top of his existing drug charges.
