Escaped Teen Murder Suspect Shane Pryor Recaptured in Philadelphia

Pryor, on the run for five days after escaping custody during a hospital visit, was apprehended without incident by U.S. Marshals.

Shane Pryor, a 17-year-old murder suspect, was recaptured by the U.S. Marshals Service in Philadelphia on Sunday, January 28, after escaping from custody while being transported to a hospital for a hand injury on Wednesday, January 24.
Pryor had been on the run for five days, during which time he was seen on surveillance footage in various locations, including a grocery store and the lobby of a hospital building.
Michael Diggs, 18, was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension, escape, criminal conspiracy, and use of a communication facility for allegedly helping Pryor escape.
Pryor had been in custody since he was 14, awaiting trial for the 2020 murder of 54-year-old Tanya Harris.
Pryor was captured without incident while boarding a public transit bus in an area he was known to frequent.
