Store Owner Apologizes, Spears Accepts as Sincere

Marc Spears, a well-known ESPN reporter, claimed he was racially profiled at a Bay Area home furnishings store called Anthem Interiors.
Spears shared his experience on social media, alleging that he and his friends, all African-American, were tracked and treated suspiciously by store employees.
Spears also claimed that when he asked to use the bathroom, an employee suggested he use the facilities at the police station across the street, a comment he found offensive.
Janelle Loevner, the founder of Anthem Interiors, reached out to Spears privately to apologize for his experience, which Spears said he felt was sincere.
Loevner expressed shock and devastation at the incident, stating that she cares deeply about her community and business.
