EU Adopts 15th Sanctions Package Targeting Russia and Global Supporters

The new measures intensify pressure on Russia's war efforts by sanctioning individuals, entities, and shadow networks across multiple countries.

The European Union's 15th sanctions package targets 84 individuals and entities, including Russian officials, defense firms, and energy sector leaders.
For the first time, fully-fledged sanctions were imposed on Chinese companies and individuals accused of supplying drone and microelectronic components to Russia's military.
The sanctions list includes North Korean defense officials and entities in India, Iran, Serbia, and the UAE for aiding Russia in circumventing restrictions.
Fifty-two additional ships in Russia's 'shadow fleet,' used to bypass oil sanctions and transport stolen Ukrainian grain, are now banned from EU ports and services.
The EU also sanctioned Russian intelligence agents and entities linked to hybrid attacks, including cyber strikes and disinformation campaigns targeting Europe.
