Ex-Marine Pleads Guilty to Planned Parenthood Firebombing, Admits to Other Planned Attacks

Chance Brannon, who also planned attacks on an electrical substation and an LGBTQ event, faces up to 40 years in prison.

Ex-Marine Chance Brannon pleaded guilty to firebombing a Planned Parenthood clinic in California in March 2022.
Brannon admitted to planning other attacks, including on a second Planned Parenthood clinic, an electrical substation, and an LGBTQ Pride night celebration at Dodger Stadium.
No one was injured in the firebombing, but the clinic sustained damage and had to reschedule about 30 appointments.
Brannon's co-defendants, Tibet Ergul and Xavier Batten, have pleaded not guilty and are scheduled for trial in March 2024.
Brannon faces five to 20 years in federal prison for each of the conspiracy and malicious destruction counts, and his sentencing hearing is scheduled for April 2024.
