Ex-Raiders Wide Receiver Henry Ruggs III to Plead Guilty in DUI Death of Woman

Henry Ruggs III, a former wide receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders, will plead guilty to driving under the influence resulting in death and vehicular manslaughter in connection with a fatal car crash in November 2021 that killed a 23-year-old woman and her dog.
Ruggs was driving 156 miles per hour with a blood alcohol level of 0.16, twice the legal limit, when he rear-ended the woman's vehicle, causing it to burst into flames.
As part of a plea deal, Ruggs will serve between three to 10 years in a Nevada state prison.
The Raiders released Ruggs shortly after he was charged in the crash.
Ruggs is scheduled to formally enter his plea on May 10 in a Las Vegas court.
