Family of Three Missing After Grand Canyon Trip During Winter Storm

Authorities are searching for Jiyeon Lee, Taehee Kim, and Junghee Kim, whose last known location aligns with a deadly multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 40.

Jiyeon Lee, Taehee Kim, and Junghee Kim were last seen traveling from the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas on March 13, 2025, during hazardous winter storm conditions.
The family’s rented white 2024 BMW was last tracked via GPS on westbound Interstate 40 near Williams, Arizona, at 3:27 p.m. on the same day.
At that time and location, a 22-vehicle pileup occurred, resulting in two fatalities, 16 injuries, and a fire that burned for 20 hours, though it is unclear if the family was involved.
The Coconino County Sheriff's Office has issued a public appeal for information regarding the family’s whereabouts or contact with them after March 13.
The severe weather and treacherous road conditions in the region have complicated search efforts and investigations into the family’s disappearance.
